Character Name: Teddygram

Character Class: Hunter

Character MS/OS: Marksmanship PvE / Marksmanship PvP (can play OS Survival if ever neccessary).

Current ICC Experience: This character: 11/12 10m, 8/12 25m - Old Hunter (which I sold in early May due to student fees/lack of $$$): 12/12 10m (9/12 HM's), 12/12 25m (7/12 HM's).

Approximate Gear Score MS/OS: Since there is obviously only 1 set of gear for the Hunter class, approximate GearScore for my Marksmanship spec is 5930. Keep in mind, my level 80 achievement was acquired on August 2nd, so not even an entire month @ 80, and this is also my 2nd level 80 Hunter (made a subtle comment earlier on in the application that I sold my old Hunter).

Why NerdRage: I'm looking for a hardcore progressed yet casual playtime/play style guild, and from what I've heard from a couple of people is that NerdRage would be the best place to look for something like that.

Previous Guild Association: I have only been level 80 on this server for about a month, and seeing as this is a new battlenet account, this is the only level 80 character I have on the account. My guild association is very small, was only involved in 1 guild from the time I hit 80-present, and that was <Cute>. Left for progression issues (they wanted to constantly carry their 4.4k friends through ICC 10) holding back people that wanted to clear content. I'm all one for guild support, and personal support to guildies, but when you're making a decision on your own (as the Guild Master) to bring in these 'scrub geared' characters, and not consulting 1/2 of your raid, its kind of a bad attribute, and makes other players look down on the guild leadership.

Sponsor in the guild (if any): N/A

Tell us about yourself and your goals in the game: Honestly, I just want to have fun and kill every raid boss that is part of WotLK progression every week, and just make friends, and acquire gear/titles/achievements, and overall enhance my character and help the guild I'm in, in any form possible. I understand that Blizzard made the game easier, but to be honest, people are to stupid in pugs to understand scripted fights, therefore I will never get to kill the Lich King on 25m again, and that disheartens me, plus the only truly difficult content in the game is 25m Heroic ICC and 25m/25m Heroic, and 10m Heroic Halion, and in pugs, I don't get to do any of that. I'm a Vanilla player, and I miss the hard elements of the game, therefore I would love nothing more than to raid with NerdRage and become a permanent/dedicated/loyal and tentative raider. Smile

As far as the 'tell us about yourself' part; not sure if that corresponds to my personal life, but if it does, lemme know, and I'll repost with more information. (Vague info: 19 years old, Male, name's Aiden, Police Aide, Single, haha).

Teddy, thanks for your app!

I just noticed two inconsistencies (probably just situational):

1. You mention Marksman PvE and PvP specs, but your profile shows MM and BM PvP specs. Obviously that can be changed and is based on fact that you are PvPing...

2. Your guild associated on profile is with Delirious, which again could be a temporary thing.

Otherwise your application is nicely done. I do have two concerns however:

1. You mentioned that your hunter is fairly new and you sold your previous character. Obviously anyone could do that, but what are your long term plans? We already had to deal with an individual that was in the guild and traded/sold his character as soon as he was geared.

2. Your gear is adequate for ICC25 certainly, but is well behind the rest of the guild and it would be difficult to see how you could be towards top of DPS, as expected of a hunter, on HM fights. Obviously some of this can be made up with exceptional skill, but the game is a balance between gear/skill.

These are my observations and I will let others jump in. Feel free to contact Volx, Kewky/Leonah and Southpaws in-game with any questions.

Thanks!

Well I recently had my stupid ass roommate get a virus infected in our system, and I actually just got hacked, he took all my gold, and changed my specs (explaining the fact that my specs are as they are). I had my computer cleaned out and plan on telling this hand humping idiot that if hes gonna watch porn on my network and infect my computer with viruses to pay for his own separate internet. They did leave all my PvE gear though.

But yeah, I'm currently in <Delirious> as a temporary thing, nothing real serious, and they understand I app'd elsewhere.

My long term plan is to play this Hunter through Cataclysm and raid end content in Cataclysm also, I don't ever want to sell again, and I completely regret doing it in the first place.

And yeah, I understand my gear is lacking, but its been a month and I'm working my ass off to get the best gear I can, however, no guilds that do Heroic mode bosses want me cause my GearScore isn't 6.3k+ and its really gay. I was hoping to find a guild that would accept me and see how well I perform with the casually acquired gear that I have gotten practically solo/pugging and help me acquire better/Heroic gear, and I can promise results once you help me get things in shape.

Given our recent recruitment of healers, we are switching some DPS spots around and it seems unlikely that we have room for another full time DPS, which means that we cannot guarantee a raid spot.

Thanks for your comprehensive app, but I will close at it at this point.
